Board approves hires, extra-duty assignments and notes several resignations

The board approved a slate of hires for the 2025‑26 school year, summer positions and extra‑duty assignments at its May 12 meeting. The motion included classroom hires pending certification and background checks as required.
Trustee Julianne moved to approve hirings that included classroom and paraprofessional staff at Pine Bluffs and other campuses, summer technology employees, and part‑time grounds and custodial hires. The motion also included a contract extension for the food services director. The motion passed.
Board members also acknowledged resignations to be effective at the end of the school year, including an assistant boys basketball coach and several certificated staff. A trustee offered brief public thanks for the employees’ service.
The board approved extra‑duty assignments for 2025‑26 and staffing for Jumpstart and ESY (Extended School Year) summer programs in separate votes during the meeting.
