Developer says Forest Brook streets, lots will be finished and lots available to builders this summer

Nathan Spalding told the Paris City Council that construction of the Forest Brook development is entering its final stages and that homebuilders expect to begin placing slabs and framing in July.
Spalding said the two remaining large concrete pours scheduled that week will complete the main streets and curb-and-gutter; smaller touch-up pours were planned the following week. Remaining work listed included final lot grading, stop and street signs, light poles, mailboxes and entry monuments before lots are delivered to builders.
Spalding said two builders — Wildwood Homes and D.R. Horton — are under contract to build in the subdivision; he said one builder plans a larger number of speculative homes while the other will offer more customizable lots. He also said both builders already maintain interest lists of potential buyers and that marketing by the builders is underway.
Council members asked about the start of vertical construction; Spalding said builders expect to place the first slabs and begin framing in July, weather permitting. He invited council and staff for a site walk when streets and lots are complete.
