The funding action approved by council: repurpose $115,000 from Fund 11 (capital replacement fund) originally allocated for gym wall padding, and appropriate $155,000 from the county's unassigned general fund balance to cover the remaining cost. The motion to approve was made by Council Member Charlene McGriff and seconded by Council Member Bridal Neal; council voted unanimously.
Council members who spoke in favor said repairing the roof before replacing flooring was “prudent” and noted a 20‑year warranty on the work. No amendments to the funding plan were recorded.
