At its April 28 meeting the Uxbridge Select Board handled a cluster of routine but substantive administrative items: committee appointments, a license time change for a local restaurant, and two administrative policy adoptions.
Appointments and alternates
- The board appointed Adam Hicks and Diane Piccard as alternates to the town’s 300th Anniversary Committee for the duration of the celebration. The appointments passed by unanimous vote. - The board appointed Ryan Corrigan to the Cable Advisory Committee for a term expiring June 30, 2028. - The Select Board appointed Bev Gudnowski to the Historical Commission (term to expire 06/30/2027) and appointed David Van Zant as an alternate to the Historical Commission (term to expire 06/30/2028). - The board appointed Manuel (Emmanuel) Ramos to the Uxbridge Cultural Council for a term to expire 06/30/2027. (The appointee introduced himself and said he recently moved to Uxbridge; the board welcomed his service.)
License change
The board approved a request from Meadowview Tavern (Blissful Meadows Golf Club) to change its Sunday opening hour from 11 a.m. to 10 a.m. The restaurant asked the change so it can serve breakfast and be open for golfers who begin play earlier on Sundays; the Select Board approved the time change unanimously.
Policy and fee schedule
The Select Board approved a formal street acceptance policy and procedure; members said the document codifies timing and staff responsibilities for inspections and layout filings. The board also adopted a consolidated Select Board license and permit fee schedule based on department recommendations and the administrative workload associated with processing permits. Both votes were unanimous.
Votes and administrative steps
All appointment motions and the license/fee votes passed unanimously. Town staff will follow up with appointment letters, swearing‑in and activation of official town email accounts for new committee members, and will circulate the updated intermunicipal and fee documents for implementation.
