The Town of Uxbridge Select Board on May 5 closed the public hearing on the street acceptance petition for Tabor Road and voted not to recommend the road for layout and acceptance at this time, citing incomplete work.
Town staff reported a signed contract with a vendor for infrared testing but said the work had not been completed. Board members emphasized consistent enforcement of standards and said they expected the same requirements to apply whether a project is large or small.
After discussion, the board closed the hearing and approved a motion that the road not be recommended to town meeting for layout and acceptance. The motion to close the hearing was moved by Mr. Vandelli and seconded by Mr. Plascow; the motion not to recommend the road was moved and seconded and carried by unanimous voice vote.
Board members noted the petition could be reconsidered later in the year if the required work is completed and the applicant re-submits for acceptance.
