Old Elm Dale Estates hearing continued after applicants submit schedule plans

At a public hearing the Uxbridge Conservation Commission continued the Old Elm Dale Estates notice of intent (DEP 3121168) to its May 19 meeting after applicants submitted revised phasing and excavation schedules that commission members said were too small to read at the meeting.

Dave Crossman of B and C Associates, representing the applicant, said the team prepared a revised set of plans that show cubic yards and area disturbed by phase and added a summary page with phasing detail. "We submitted those," Crossman told the commission, adding the format included the quantities the commission requested.

Commissioners said the layout on the printed plan was too dense to read at the meeting and asked the applicant to provide larger-format sheets and a clearer, separate list of phase-by-phase cut/fill and yardage numbers. Commissioner comments repeatedly called the current sheets "illegible" for review; one member said the material should be "cut into pieces" or enlarged to make it readable.

The motion to continue the public hearing to May 19 was approved unanimously. The commission asked that the applicant provide both enlarged plan sheets and a separate, easy-to-read summary of the phasing and volume calculations prior to that meeting so peer reviewers and commissioners can assess slope, drainage, and erosion-control proposals.
