After executive session the council later took procedural votes related to litigation funding. Item 29, a formal order requesting approval to appropriate $100,000 from free cash to the legal department litigation professional services account, was moved and then postponed to the next meeting. Separately, the council voted to refer an item that requested the administration provide invoices or a financial summary for matters paid to specific law firms (Pigfield L.O.P. and Greenberg Traurig) from 2016 to 2025 back to the sponsor to allow staff to prepare and verify the requested breakout.
Councilors said some invoice detail could not be made public for privilege reasons, and asked the administration to provide a financial summary consistent with legal constraints.
