The Livingston Parish Planning Commission approved construction plans for Plantation Office Park on Jan. 8 after the project resolved outstanding drainage-district comments.
Planning staff and engineering told the commission that drainage-district issues had been addressed and the drainage district had signed off on the revised plans; staff recommended approval. Commissioners asked about a private access issue: an adjacent property’s driveway appeared to be shown crossing the applicant’s site and the commission discussed whether a written access agreement existed. Staff said the commission’s approval applies to work on the applicant’s property and that any access dispute is a civil matter between property owners to be resolved outside the commission’s land‑use review.
With engineering and planning sign-offs complete, commissioners recorded a roll‑call approval to accept the construction plans and allow the project to move ahead to permitting and construction coordination per the approved plans.
