Students honored for 'attitude of gratitude' as school outlines May 12–16 events

Miss Brooks said the "attitude of gratitude" mindset means students "focus on what is going right instead of what's going wrong" and "are able to recognize the good things in their lives, what's working, the support of people around them, and the parts of themselves that they value the most." She read the names of recipients in three groups.

In addition to the Students of the Month, student hosts and staff announced several upcoming activities: Noelle said the April Paws winners "will be doing board games with Miss Brooks on Tuesday, May 13 from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Miss Brooks' room." Gage announced that "Wednesday, May 14 is the first, second, third, and fourth grade track meets." The broadcast also noted that this is the last week of after‑school clubs and that kindergarten classes "will be heading out" for a scheduled activity during the week, as announced on the program.
The Wildcat News sign‑off encouraged students to "finish out the year strong" and congratulated the honorees. The broadcast is produced for a school within the D C Everest Area School District.
