Summary
The Finance Committee voted to recommend Portland Public Schools’ proposed FY2026 budget — $171.8 million total, a 5.33% school portion property tax rate increase — to the full City Council after a public hearing and committee discussion of staffing, special education investments and rising benefits costs.
