Staff noted the well will be drilled beside the new water tower at the Meadows of Town Run 2 development.
A council member moved to award the contract at the bid amount of $1,558,160 and the motion passed on a unanimous voice vote. Council members asked whether a notice to proceed (NTP) date had been discussed; staff said they were in contact with the contractor and expected the bidder to be ready to begin work once formal award paperwork is complete.
Staff will coordinate permitting and scheduling and return details on NTP timing; construction and inspection oversight will follow standard procedures for town water infrastructure projects.
