The Golf Manor Village Community Engagement Committee reported that it purchased 2,500 postcards for village mailing routes, that the committee chair now has the ability to send push notifications through the village app, and that the committee will convene a resident subcommittee to guide a planned website redesign.
The committee said the printer produced 2,484 mailing pieces for the routes that best matched Golf Manor; the chair said the total cost for the mailing was about $1,108.71, leaving roughly $900 remaining in the postcard budget. Committee members acknowledged delivery timing is controlled by the post office and said they expect delivery within one to two weeks after mailing.
Committee Chair Miss Hill said she has access to push notifications through the Village of Golf Manor app and invited members to propose messages to send to residents. She also said she will recruit five to six residents to serve on a temporary subcommittee to advise on website redesign, likely starting after Juneteenth, and that the project will require finance approval depending on the scope.
Members discussed audiovisual equipment used to stream meetings and noted some microphones and a recently purchased camera. The committee said improvements to livestream quality and community-hall AV could be part of the website and technology update.
The committee scheduled its next meeting for Monday, June 9, with the summer meeting schedule consolidating other committees' meetings on the same day. No formal votes on the website redesign or AV purchases were recorded.
