The Medina City Council finance committee approved a packet of routine budget amendments and contracts that included parks department repairs, the city’s annual concrete street replacement project and an increase to a purchase order covering traffic control costs for Reagan Parkway pavement rehabilitation.
Committee members moved and approved a series of budget amendments to accept and expend modest sums for parks maintenance and to cover unplanned repairs. The committee then approved the city’s 2025 concrete street repair bid (annual panel replacement) and granted the emergency clause to expedite bidding after a staff member’s extended medical leave delayed procurement.
Separately, the committee approved an increased purchase order to pay Right Traffic Control for additional traffic‑control work on the Reagan Parkway Pavement Rehab; staff said the project is complete and the final cost came in about $90,000 under budget overall despite the PO increase.
All motions on these items were moved, seconded and approved on the record without recorded dissents. Staff noted one grant application item (outdoor fitness equipment) was pulled because the city no longer qualified.
Speakers included city finance and public‑works staff who presented the amendments and project updates and committee members who asked for clarification about timing and costs.
