The parents appeared under oath, acknowledged they understood the settlement would end the child's right to pursue further claims related to the incident, and confirmed the proceeds are for the benefit of the minor. The judge entered the order approving the settlement and directed the clerk to provide copies to counsel.
The case will be closed on entry of the judgment and distribution according to the terms in the court’s order.
