Committee hears update: whistleblower policy approved and implementation systems ready pending PSBA return

The Central York policy committee received an implementation update on the district's whistleblower policy and systems, and heard that the policy has been approved and submitted to PSBA for final review.

Staff reported the whistleblower policy has been approved and forwarded to PSBA; internal work on regulations and reporting systems is complete and ready to publish once PSBA returns the review. The district has built a dedicated website page (currently hidden), a custom digital reporting form that captures and stores submissions, and a phone line that was tested and is functioning. Mr. Rob (web lead) and Jill worked with Joe Lucia to design the webpage and form; the system routes incoming reports to Jill and the staff member who presented the update to ensure a double fail-safe so no report is missed.

Committee members asked that staff brief the full board when PSBA returns the review and the district is ready to "flip the switch" and publish the page and reporting tools. Staff agreed to present the implementation details for the full board at that time.
