Finance committee approves animal-control and warden-service agreements, adopts budget policy and calendar

Chair Lehman moved approval of an agreement for animal-control shelter services with the City of Bloomington; Member Byrne seconded and the motion passed by voice vote. Lehman also moved approval of an agreement for "Bridal Control" for warden services within the City of Bloomington; Member Abel seconded and the committee approved that item by voice vote. The committee also approved a resolution establishing the budget policy for fiscal year 2026 (motion by Lehman, second by Member Beirne) and approved the Schedule A calendar for preparation of the FY2026 budget and five-year capital improvement budget (motion by Lehman, second by Member Friedrich). Both motions passed by voice vote.
Committee members recorded no substantive questions during the votes; Lehman said the finance committee will present additional items to the full board on Thursday.
