The steering committee identified the three seats as those held by William Cope, Dr. Herron and Judge Daniel. Board leadership told those members to contact Rachel in the office to begin the reapplication process. Judge Daniel told the board he will not reapply, saying personal reasons required him to step away; he cited his wife's retirement and a desire to support her after 39 years with the university.
Board members expressed appreciation for Judge Daniel's service. No formal appointment decisions were made at the meeting; the reappointment process was described as administrative and governed by the steering committee's requirements.
