New Berlin council updates cross-connection rules, awards two water contracts and approves Drexel Building Supply land division

On the Jacobs Ridge lift station work, the council approved awarding a professional services contract to Clark Dietz for planning, design and bidding-phase consulting services with a not-to-exceed amount of $81,000, subject to final approval from the city attorney. That item also came from the March 25 utility committee meeting and was recommended 3-0 to the council; the contract approval passed by voice vote at the council meeting.
The council awarded the construction contract for the 2025 private-property infiltration and inflow (I&I) dye-water testing project to Visio Sewer as the lowest responsible bidder for a total project cost of $394,520.08. According to the agenda remarks, the item was considered by the utility committee on April 22 and was recommended to the council by a committee vote recorded in the minutes as 5-2-0. The council approved the contract by voice vote.
At the April 10 Community Development Authority meeting, the CDA unanimously recommended approval of a two-lot certified survey map for Drexel Building Supply at 3370 South Calhoun Road. The council moved to approve that certified survey map at the April 22 meeting, again by voice vote.
