Oakdale Parks Commission elects Steve Meyer chair, Glenn Jacqueleto vice chair

The Oakdale Parks and Recreation Commission elected Commissioner Steve Meyer as chair and Commissioner Glenn Jacqueleto as vice chair at its Feb. 10 meeting in Oakdale City Council Chambers.
The vote followed nominations and a secret ballot. Commission staff reported four votes for Meyer and four votes for Jacqueleto. Commissioners then moved to formally elect Meyer and Jacqueleto to one-year terms beginning the night of the meeting; both motions passed by voice vote.
The leadership vote came during the commission’s organization portion of the meeting, after roll call and approval of the agenda and the Nov. 19, 2024 minutes. The agenda and minutes were approved earlier in the meeting by voice vote.
Commissioners present at the start of the meeting included Burke, Cunningham, Meyer, Prosser and Shore. New commissioner Mike Prosser was introduced earlier in the meeting and briefly spoke about living in Oakdale for two years and looking forward to serving.
The new chair and vice chair will serve for a one-year term starting Feb. 10, 2025. No additional conditions or amendments to the appointments were recorded in the meeting minutes.
