Meeting remarks described Kevin Shiller as an SHS 1989 alumnus, a former captain of the varsity soccer team and a member of the golf team. Donors proposed awarding $1,000 starting with the graduating class of 2025. Meeting presenters said donors requested initial selections be a female and male soccer player with a preference (as stated in the meeting) given to a named preference; if soccer players are not available, the preference would move to a golf athlete or a general athlete. The board moved, seconded and approved acceptance of the scholarship by voice vote.
