Stanley Walker, Laramie County finance director, introduced the audit. Paul Niedermueller, principal with CliftonLarsonAllen, told the Board of County Commissioners the audit process began in the spring and concluded with a clean opinion and no compliance findings on roughly $9.7 million in federal funds received by the county.
Niedermueller said auditors had no disagreements with management, found no governance items warranting action, and had no recommendations related to federal compliance. Commissioners thanked the county finance team for their work in producing timely and transparent records.
No action was required from the commission on the audit presentation.
