Board approves personnel action report and classified‑staff renewals after executive session; some trustees objected or abstained

After recessing to executive session to discuss personnel matters, the Sheridan County School District #2 Board of Trustees returned to open meeting and approved a revised personnel action report and the classified‑staff renewal list for the 2025–26 school year.

Chairman Rader called the motion to recess to executive session citing Wyoming statutes covering personnel and confidential information. After about 40 minutes in closed session, the board reconvened and moved to approve the personnel actions and later the classified staff renewals and extra duty contract renewals.

Trustee Ramberg told the board he had "an issue with voting yes on this matter" and said he would vote no on the personnel action report; he later said he would be a no vote on the classified staff renewals as well. Another trustee announced an abstention on the classified renewals. The motions passed despite those votes.
