A county roads representative recapped last year’s additions (Horseshoe Drive, Saddle Creek and Beaver Dam) and said Beaver Dam’s estimated cost was reported at $427,500; the county covered $209,036 last year and planned to apply an additional $218,464 this fiscal year to fully fund the route. The presenter said the FY31 allocation was $657,823; after funding Beaver Dam the remaining allocation available for other projects was reported as $439,359. The staff recommendation for FY31 included Rimrock Lane at an estimated $232,400 and Chestnut Grove Road, which was reported as not fully fundable under current allocations and would leave a shortfall the presenter said would need to be pulled from next year’s funding.
Several residents used the public hearing to press the board for confirmation and timing: Tom Sutchin and others asked whether Pleasant Grove Road — previously funded but delayed by storm recovery work — would in fact be constructed in FY26; residents on Lost Lake Road and Flat Ridge Road described potholes, heavy seasonal damage and increased traffic and asked to be considered for secure funding. Staff and supervisors said many of the routes remain on a multi-year list and that engineering and environmental reviews typically precede construction scheduling.
A motion to approve the six-year plan and three related resolutions to add Rimrock Lane and Chestnut Grove Road passed; the transcript records a motion, second and affirmative voice votes. The board also asked staff to check on Lost Lake Road and Cornerstone Road at Greystone Road for potential inclusion or follow-up.
