The Elko County Enhanced 9-1-1 Board voted to approve a set of routine renewals and policy updates and authorized up to $300,000 in E911 funds for radio replacements at its Feb. 6 meeting.
Board members approved the 2025 update to the board’s rolling five-year E911 master plan “as presented.” The board also approved vendor renewals and related invoices and authorized spending to replace aging multi-band radios used by public safety agencies.
The board approved an invoice for Motorola Spillman system maintenance and state-link services totaling $11,594.28, annual renewals for PowerPhone total response and an annual quality-assurance service (Motivations), and accepted a Frontier NGA 9-1-1 credit (items I1–I4). The board moved these items together and approved them by unanimous voice vote.
On a separate motion, the board approved allocating up to $300,000 from E911 funds to replace multi-band radios for public-safety interoperability and backup. The motion specifies using the E911 special revenue fund; board members stated the purchase would be made from the current year budget.
