Scott County Fiscal Court on May 2025 approved two resolutions to accept funds from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and authorized execution of memoranda of agreement to repair two county bridges.

The court adopted Resolution 25‑06 to accept $661,178 from the Transportation Cabinet to repair and replace the bridge on Mount Horeb Road (C.R. 1109, bridge ID 105C00029N) and Resolution 25‑07 to accept $307,982 for repair and replacement of the bridge on North Ray's Fork Road (C.R. 1023, bridge ID 105C00062N). The judge executive and fiscal court clerk were authorized to sign and certify the agreements, the resolutions say.

Court members praised staff and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for moving quickly on both projects and noted the inconvenience the closures have caused local families on affected roads. The court instructed staff to advertise the projects and proceed toward bid solicitation and construction oversight through the county’s engineering partner, HMB, which will assist in advertising and evaluation of bids.

Both resolutions passed on voice votes.
