Polk County committee members approved the meeting agenda and the March meeting minutes and forwarded a resolution reallocating failed development funds to the full county board for consideration.
Approval of agenda and minutes At the start of the meeting the committee approved the agenda by motion from Supervisor Luke and a second by Supervisor Doug Rowdy; members approved the March minutes by similar motion and voice vote.
Resolution to reallocate failed development funds (Resolution 10‑25) Staff presented a resolution discussed at the prior meeting to reallocate the county’s p‑tag (failed development) funds from “trail development, new trail development” to a broader use for the development and improvement of parks, trails and outdoor recreation facilities. A motion was made to forward Resolution 10‑25 to the full county board with approval. The motion was seconded (Adam Clark was recorded as the second) and carried by voice vote.
Why it matters Forwarding the resolution with committee approval sends the proposed change to the county board for final action; if adopted, the county would broaden how that dedicated funding may be used for parks, trails and outdoor recreation improvements.
