The Morris Township Board of Adjustment approved a set of routine memorializing resolutions and an extension request at its March 24 meeting.
Memorializing resolutions: The board approved the memorializing resolution for VA‑01‑25 (Anthony DeVito) for property at 145 Lake Valley Road. The resolution conditionally granted permission to construct a two‑story rear addition and a new driveway, subject to standard conditions and relocation of a shed to a conforming location; the applicant must obtain a grading permit before construction.
The board also approved the memorializing resolution for a nonconforming modification application by Kelly and Brandon Carrie for 15 Watanodge Road. That resolution conditionally granted variances to construct a 1½‑story rear addition, a portico and rear deck and to expand an existing nonconforming structure, again subject to standard conditions.
Extension of time: The board granted a one‑year extension to the Cliffords (DADash18Dash22 / 222 West Hanover Avenue) for an earlier approval that allowed a partial second‑story addition to create an in‑law suite and associated nonconforming elements. The extension carries the previously approved permission through March 2026; the board recorded that there had been no relevant changes to zoning or neighborhood conditions that would affect that approval.
All votes on the memorializing resolutions and the extension were taken by roll call and carried.
The board noted that memorializing resolutions will be drafted and placed on a future meeting agenda for formal signature and recordation.
