The Morris Township Board of Adjustment adopted a memorializing resolution granting variance relief to Matthew and Amy Masterson to replace an existing 20-by-20 garage with a new 24-by-24 two-car garage at 100 Burnham Parkway in the R-A-15 zone.
The resolution states the new garage will create a rear-yard setback of 5.2 feet where 25 feet is required, a side-yard setback of 1.4 feet where 20 feet is required (there was no existing side-yard), and a combined side-yard setback of 8.1 feet where 50 feet is required (6.7 feet currently exist). The approval was granted conditionally. The resolution requires removal of the existing wood deck and wood shed, prohibits installation of plumbing on the second floor of the garage and states the garage shall not be used as separate living quarters.
Board members asked no substantive questions and the board moved, seconded and approved the memorializing resolution by roll call; the clerk recorded affirmative votes by members present. The resolution memorializes the variances and the specific conditions the applicant must meet.
