Morris Township Board of Adjustment names officers, consultants and sets 2025 calendar

The Morris Township Board of Adjustment held its 2025 reorganization and regular meeting and elected Paul Woodford chairman and Lee Goldberg vice chairman, designated board legal and technical consultants, approved the 2025 meeting calendar and named the board’s official newspapers.

The reorganization matters set leadership and professional appointments for the year and were approved by voice vote or roll call where required. The board designated Mr. Oler of Oler & Breslin as board legal counsel; Paul Phillips as planning consultant; Joseph Fissinger as the professional traffic operations engineer; Joseph Scupian as engineering consultant; Christopher Malik as licensed surveyor consultant; and David Hanson as board engineer with James Slade and Bernard Sanger as alternates. Sonia Santiago will continue as board secretary. The board also adopted a 2025 meeting calendar (the reorganization meeting for 2026 was set for Jan. 26, 2026) and named the Morris Daily Record and the Morris NewsBee as its official newspapers.

The appointments were handled as a group of routine resolutions during the reorganization portion of the meeting. The board president called for motions and received affirmations for each designation; where roll call votes were requested those votes passed unanimously.

Several housekeeping items were corrected or clarified during presentation of the resolutions. Board counsel noted a typographical error on one signature date line and the staff corrected the word “award” on a resolution where it had been misspelled. The board also discussed minor administrative details such as an interim alternate board engineer assignment for the coming month.

The meeting packet and votes show the reorganization actions were procedural and intended to ensure continuity of counsel and technical support for the Board of Adjustment’s calendar year work.
