Members also discussed the Z‑Tag vehicle registration proposal. One member said the Z‑Tag concept (a permanent registration for vehicles over seven years old) would produce a roughly $14,000,000 impact under current fiscal rules and would require offsetting reductions elsewhere because the municipality is at the tax cap.
Other projects mentioned included ongoing discussion about whether to cap the number of marijuana licenses (members said a cap risks creating a secondary market), questions about rules for ebikes and scooters after an expansion of permissions, and an unreleased ranked‑choice voting ordinance under development.
