Kittitas County commissioners proclaim April as National County Government Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners on April 1 read and approved proclamations declaring April 2025 National County Government Month and April 2025 National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The board read the proclamations into the record and then approved each by motion. The resolutions recognize the role of counties in delivering local services and call on citizens, agencies, faith groups, medical facilities and businesses in Kittitas County to participate in related awareness and prevention activities.
Martinez, representing Court Advocates for Children, thanked the board and said continued advocacy and community partnerships are essential to protecting vulnerable children. "Through our continued advocacy and dedication, we are reminded of the collective responsibility to protect and support every child in need," Martinez said.
Both proclamations were approved by the board during the meeting.
