The Town of Concord Tax Relief Committee reviewed volunteer applications and agreed to begin targeted outreach to candidates who indicated interest in serving on the committee.
Committee members said the key screening questions are whether prospective volunteers remain interested, can attend Tuesday morning meetings and, importantly, whether a candidate would be willing to take on the intake role. Members identified several potential candidates by name (including Julie, Liz Paley, Paul Levecchio and Peter Healy) and assigned follow-up contacts: one member will email several candidates, others will reach out to people they know personally, and staff will coordinate follow-up communications.
The committee emphasized it wants to recruit members who can perform intake duties or who can commit to regular in-person attendance. Members also discussed avoiding poaching active volunteers from other town committees and agreed to be transparent about time commitments.
Next steps: committee volunteers will begin email outreach, cc the committee chair on responses, then schedule brief screening conversations to confirm interest, availability and willingness to handle intake work.
