Lake Country Elementary students present skit on work ethic to school board

Fourth- and fifth-grade members of Lake Country Elementary's leadership team presented a character education segment on work ethic and performed a skit during the board meeting.
Students from Lake Country Elementary School's leadership team presented the board with a character program on the topic of work ethic, including a short skit illustrating how attitude and behavior affect perseverance in tasks.
Sarada Ramos, a second-grade teacher and leadership sponsor, introduced fourth- and fifth-grade members who identified leadership roles and described a locally tailored definition of work ethic: safe, responsible and respectful students who push through challenges. The student team explained connections between behavior, attitude and work habits and presented a dramatized skit showing both good and poor examples of work ethic.
Board members applauded the students' performance; Chair and members thanked the students and their sponsors and noted the value of character education in schools.
The recognition was part of the meeting's opening presentations and preceded other recognitions and awards.
