Commission approves multiple infrastructure contracts, bids and plats totaling millions

The Dickinson City Commission on April 15 approved a package of engineering agreements, construction bid awards and final plats covering road, water and drainage projects across the city.

The commission approved a not-to-exceed task order of $883,835 with Moore Engineering for 20 First Street West design work (State Avenue to Third Avenue West) and a master services agreement with Moore Engineering to standardize future project terms. Commissioners also voted to award multiple construction bids and task orders for projects budgeted in the 2025 Capital Improvement Plan, including major road maintenance and water-main replacement work.

Why it matters: the city expects much of the construction work to be funded through a mix of gross production tax (GPT), state revolving fund loans and state grant programs; several projects reported formal or expected grant awards that reduce the city share. Multiple engineers’ estimates were substantially higher than low bids, producing savings in the advertised construction season.
