Risk-management staff told the Okaloosa County School Board on April 14 that two employee health fairs have concluded successfully and a final central-county fair is scheduled for Saturday.
The fairs matter to employees because they offer biometric screenings, vendor services and participation in UHC Rewards programs that can produce incentives for employees who complete screenings.
Ms. Kato told the board the events were well attended across north and south county locations and that vendors provided biometric screenings and information on community services. She said UHC Rewards provided tangible incentives for employees who completed screenings. Ms. Kato said a final central-county fair would be held Saturday, and she will present a full report at the next board meeting.
No board action was required; staff characterized the fairs as a successful benefit for employees and said a full report will follow.
