On April 2, 2025, Commissioner Andy Gregg told the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission that he volunteered to participate on the Fort Vancouver Bicentennial Committee and that he had been in contact with Brad Richardson of the Clark County Historical Museum. Gregg said the committee is scheduled to meet in April and that activities tied to the bicentennial are expected to begin in June and run through the summer.
Gregg said he will attend the committee meeting and provide a written report to the Historic Preservation Commission at the May meeting. Commission members asked about timing and Gregg and other commissioners indicated they expect multiple events rather than a single ceremony.
The commission welcomed Gregg’s participation and asked staff to circulate meeting details to members. Members also noted that the bicentennial effort appears to be a series of community activities and that the HPC may be asked to contribute ideas or participate where appropriate.
