Votes at a glance: Rockford council approves parking changes, contracts, grants, leases and zoning items

The council approved acceptance of the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board camera grant for $505,651.10 (no cost match required; grant term 05/01/2025–06/30/2028) to reimburse 2024 General Fund expenditures for Axon BodyOne cameras, related hardware, and digital evidence storage. The Code and Regulation Committee also recommended authorizing the zoning officer to file a text amendment to codify determinations on electric vehicle charging stations; council approved that recommendation.
