The Board of Supervisors approved a one‑year solution support agreement April 7 for the software the county uses for accounting, land records and courthouse operations.
County staff said the vendor had provided a locked‑in price for five years and that the sixth year required catching up with multiple years of increases at once, producing what staff described as an effective 4 percent per year increase realized as a single lump sum. The FY 2026 support cost rises from approximately $37,000 to about $46,000 under the new agreement.
Staff asked the board to approve the one‑year renewal so the county can continue integrated services for the assessor, auditor, treasurer, recorder and engineer offices and for special interfaces such as on‑demand printing and scanning. Supervisors approved the agreement by voice vote; staff said the IT director will evaluate alternatives next year and may solicit other vendors if more competitive options emerge.
