She said branch figures were not yet included in that total but compared it to 2024 sales that averaged about $2,500 for the June and October sales with branches included.
The Friends also ran a special bag sale for Fargo public school employees that raised $580, and volunteers continue to staff the Second Editions bookstore where shelves were described as “pretty bare.” Nagord encouraged donations, asking donors to limit donations to five boxes at a time and to bring donations to Second Editions or the library front desk when volunteers are not available.
“Please feel free to bring them during any time that the library is open,” Nagord said. The Friends noted they plan to support the Northern Narratives event and the summer reading kickoff with funding requests.
