The Linn County Board of Supervisors approved two easement agreements March 31 that county staff said are needed for the road department headquarters project.
The board voted to "approve and authorize the chair to sign a storm sewer easement agreement to convey to Linn County a temporary easement in the right of way in connection with Linn County's project for the road department headquarters," and separately approved and authorized the chair to sign a sanitary sewer easement for the same project. Both motions were moved and seconded on voice votes and recorded as passing with the chair calling "Aye."
No staff speaker besides the chair read additional technical details into the public record at the meeting. The county engineering and legal files should contain the full easement language and maps; county staff present indicated no further discussion was required during the public session.
The approvals authorize staff to complete standard property-rights steps needed for the road department headquarters project; implementation will proceed according to the project schedule and any recorded conditions in the easement documents.
