The Linn County Board of Supervisors approved claims and payroll-related payments and authorized changes to the county employment roster during its March 31 meeting at the Gene Oxley Public Service Center.
Board members voted to approve claims dated March 28 that were read into the record as payroll deduction checks of $12,704.79, ACH payments of $61,264.91, an EFT/wire amount read as "$758000.269.55" (as read into the record), and a Ceridian Funds Trust wire of $2,160,697.81, for a total the clerk read as $2,992,937.06. The board then approved payroll authorization and the employment change roster.
The board recorded the motions, second and voice votes on each item; the record shows the motions passed with the chair calling "Aye" and hearing no opposition. The meeting transcript contains the dollar figures as read into the record; one EFT/wire figure appears inconsistent in punctuation and was reported verbatim from the transcript.
Board members did not debate these items in detail during the public session. The employment change roster was approved after the board moved and seconded the item by voice vote.
Looking ahead, routine financial and personnel items such as these are typically placed on consent agendas for future meetings unless a supervisor requests separate discussion.
