Seminole High dining hall, health academy simulator and multiple facility upgrades under way, officials say

The district indicated much of the HVAC work will occur over the summer months when students are not in session.
Sanford Middle School: the district said a gym renovation is planned that includes floor replacement and facility upgrades. Croods Academy (the transcript spelling appears as “Croods Academy”) is in early approval stages to renovate its soccer field and install field lighting; that site will also receive dining facility improvements. Officials listed additional dining and security improvements at Wicklow and Bentley elementary schools.
Other repairs: Midway Elementary is scheduled for roof repairs this summer to address hail damage; Hamilton Elementary will receive an updated pavilion roof. Facilities staff said the list represents a subset of ongoing projects across municipal jurisdictions and that the facilities department is coordinating with other municipalities and vendors.
Timing and process: staff emphasized projects are being phased so that major disruptive work takes place during breaks. Some work is still in design and procurement; the district said resurfacing, drainage and rights-of-way work are in progress on several local streets as part of multi-agency efforts.
