The motion to appoint the four 2028‑term members was made and seconded and carried on a voice vote; the second motion for the three 2026‑term members also passed.
Procedure note: The council reviewed applications in executive session under Arizona law and asked applicants in the audience whether they objected to executive‑session consideration; staff confirmed no objections and proceeded with the executive session before returning to open session for the appointments.
Ending: Mayor Watkins will select a council liaison to the Golf Commission after he returns; staff will notify appointees and provide onboarding information.
