The Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Apache Junction voted unanimously Tuesday to approve conditional use permit case PD-24-69-CUP (resolution 25-05), allowing Empire Southwest LLC to expand an outdoor equipment storage yard across five lots in the Baseline Industrial Park.
Erica Hernandez, a city planner, told commissioners that staff recommended approval. "Staff recommends approval of case number PD-24-69-CUP subject to the conditions of approvals found in the staff report," Hernandez said, summarizing the staff findings and required conditions.
The permit would add five parcels adjacent to the applicant’s existing facility near Winchester and 30 Fourth Avenue, including parcels on Colt Avenue and 30 Sixth Avenue. The parcels are part of the Baseline Industrial Park Subdivision, created in 1998. Under the approved site plan, the lots…
