Glendale council approves HUD plan submissions, historic preservation easement, utility and right-of-way ordinances; appoints board member

The Glendale City Council on April 8, 2025, unanimously approved a package of routine measures that included submissions to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Glendale Housing Authority, a 30-year preservation easement for the First United Methodist Church sanctuary, a utility easement to extend power to a new hangar at the Glendale airport and ordinances to abandon obsolete water-line easements on private property. The council also authorized acquisition of land for intersection improvements at 50 Ninth Avenue and Northern Avenue and sworn in Paul D'Agostino to the Board of Adjustments.

The council voted to approve four consent resolutions: R25-24, approving submission of the Glendale Housing Authority annual PHA plan and the 2025–2029 five-year agency plan (HUD forms HUD-50075-HP and HUD-50075-5Y); R25-25, approving Small Area Fair Market Rents for the Glendale Housing Authority; R25-26, approving the 2025–2029 Capital Fund Program five-year action plan; and R25-27, authorizing acquisition of land for right-of-way for intersection improvements at 50 Ninth Avenue and Northern Avenue.
