The City, County & Local Affairs Committee adopted an amendment restoring previously struck public-notice language and then voted to pass the bill as amended.
Representative Wing (District 70, North Little Rock and Sherwood) said the amendment reinstated language that had been stricken and explained the change was limited to public-notice provisions. "The amendment, lines 22 and 23 of page 1 had been stricken ... We've just taken out the strike. So that language is back," Wing said.
Committee Chair confirmed no members had signed up to speak for or against the amendment, called for a motion and the amendment was adopted by voice vote. The committee then voted to pass the bill as amended; members responded "aye" when the chair called for the question.
The transcript does not record the bill number or additional substantive changes beyond the restored public-notice text; committee members described the amendment as a technical restoration that returned the bill "back to where it was." No public testimony was recorded for or against this item.
The committee chair closed the matter after the vote and moved on to the next agenda item.
