Prescott Valley council passes attendance ordinance, approves committee appointments

The Prescott Valley Town Council on April 10 passed several items with limited debate: a second-reading ordinance clarifying electronic participation for councilmembers and the appointment of members to the 2025 Citizens Recreation Facility Advisory Committee.
Ordinance number 2025-952, described in the second-reading summary, amends Article 2-4 (Council Procedure) of the town code to clarify when councilmembers may appear and participate in meetings through electronic means. The clerk announced the ordinance “pass[ed] unanimously.”
On the Citizens Recreation Facility Advisory Committee, council moved and approved the proposed list of members by electronic vote. The clerk reported that motion passed 5 to 2. Vice Mayor commented that staff followed direction from the subcommittee in selecting members and thanked staff for their work.
Both items were handled under old business and consent procedures; council took no additional substantive amendments on either item during the meeting.
