Residents tell Lexington council to expand office hours and address downtown parking

Dylan James, a Lexington business owner, said downtown parking signage and two-hour parking rules discourage visitors because many workers park in two-hour spaces all day. "It looks like uptown is just slammed," James said, and he asked the council to open discussion on solutions, including identifying alternative parking for workers so visitors have access to Main Street. The mayor thanked James for his comments.
Council did not take formal action during the public comment period; the mayor said staff would follow up where appropriate.
