The Navajo County Board of Supervisors approved a liquor license for Miss Boyse Mercantile, a retail business at 2377 Bison Ranch Trail in Overgaard, Arizona, following a staff presentation and departmental sign-offs.
Melissa, county staff, told the board the sheriff's office, the treasurer's office, the health department and planning and development had all returned approvals for the application, the required 20-day posting had been completed and the applicant was present. "We received the liquor license. We sent it out ... the sheriff's department, treasurer's office, health department, and planning and development have all responded with the approvals for the license," Melissa said.
Board members opened and then closed the public hearing after no members of the public asked to speak. A supervisor moved to approve the license as proposed; a second was recorded and the board approved the license by voice vote. The board recorded no public opposition during the hearing.
Votes at a glance: The meeting record shows routine procedural motions and voice votes on consent agendas and jurisdictional transitions earlier in the session; the liquor-license vote was approved by voice vote with the chair noting "the ayes have it."
