The Gila County Board of Supervisors voted Feb. 4 to keep Supervisor Christensen as chairman and Supervisor Klein as vice chairman for the next 16 months.
The board held a brief nomination and discussion period during which Supervisor Humphrey said he expected it was his turn to serve but asked to step back because of time-consuming projects. Humphrey said he was comfortable with Christensen serving another term and offered the board flexibility depending on who wished to serve.
After a nomination and a second, the board approved the motion by voice vote with no recorded opposition. Supervisors thanked one another for their service and moved on to the next agenda items.
No further formal directions or amendments to the county’s governance procedures were made during the vote.
